On February 6th, 2020 Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz Co., L.P.A. was retained by North Perry Village in Lake County, Ohio, with Stephen L. Byron serving as the Village Solicitor and Laura T. Pizmoht serving as the Assistant Village Solicitor.
Mr. Byron is a Principal of Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz Co., L.P.A. where he leads the Public Sector practice and is the Law Director for Hunting Valley, Orange Village, Pepper Pike, and Waite Hill. In addition to those roles, Mr. Byron acts or has acted as special counsel to a variety of governmental and non-governmental entities, including special counsel for the City of Wooster, the City of Willoughby, the City of Shaker Heights, the City of Bedford, the Village of Ottawa, the South Euclid-Lyndhurst School District, the Brooklyn School District, the Willoughby-Eastlake School District, the Ohio Municipal League, the Ohio Municipal Attorneys Association, and the International Municipal Attorneys Association.
Recognized for his expertise, Mr. Byron has often lectured to the Northeast Ohio Law Directors Association, the Cuyahoga County Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Municipal Attorneys Association, and the Ohio Municipal League. Mr. Byron has been asked to serve as an expert on variance and other municipal matters, has written legal opinions and amicus briefs on specific zoning and related issues, and has drafted development agreements for new municipal ventures.
